A Steal of a Deal #6

It's Italian Days at Publix, so that means there are great store coupons out there and great sales to go with those coupons! I typically go to three stores each week, but this week the sales were too good at Publix to not use all of our budget money there. Here's our haul:
And here's the breakdown of 86 items for $52.71 -
  • Progresso Soup - 8 cans, used 2 $1/4 manufacturer's coupons + 2 $1/4 store coupons = $5.16 for 8 cans or $0.65 each
  • Green Giant canned veggies - 8 cans, used 2 $1/4 store coupons = $3.16 for 8 or $0.40 each
  • Hunt's Tomatoes - 9 cans, used 3 $0.45/3 manufacturer's coupons that doubled + $1/3 store coupons = free
  • Progresso Bread Crumbs - 2 cannisters and 6 boxes, used 6 $0.50 manufacturer's coupons that doubled + 2 $1/4 store coupons = $2.95 for all 8
  • Progresso Beans - 8 cans, used 2 $1/4 store coupons = $3.34 for 8 or $0.42 each
  • Hunt's Tomato Sauce - 5 cans, used $1/5 store coupon = $1/5 or $0.20 each
  • Hunt's Tomato Paste - 5 cans, used $1/5 store coupon = $2.34/5 or $0.47 each
  • Bertolli Pasta Sauce - 4 cans, used 2 $1.50/2 store coupons = $2.58 for 4
  • Ragu pasta sauce - 2 cans, no coupons but on sale = $1.49 for both
  • Mueller's lasagna noodles - 2 boxes, no coupons but on sale = $2.29 for both
  • Mueller's jumbo shells - 2 boxes, no coupons but on sale = $2.19 for both
  • Crisco EVOO - 1 bottle, no coupon but on sale and we were out = $3
  • Mt Olive Pickles - 3 jars, used 3 $0.50 manufacturer's coupons that doubled = $0.59 for 3 or $0.20 each
  • Wishbone dressing - 4 bottles, used 2 $1.50/2 store coupons = $2.29 for 4
  • Halls cough drops - 3 bags, used 1 $1/2 manufacturer's coupon and 1 $0.50 manufacturer's coupon that doubled = $0.47 for all 3
  • Finish Quantum dishwashing detergent - 1 box, used $1 manufacturer's coupon = $2.50 (box had 24 packets, so that's less than a dime per load)
  • Zatarain's - 8 boxes, used 1 $0.50/2 manufacturer's coupon that doubled + 2 $0.50/3 manufacturer's coupons that doubled = $5 for all 8
That's a lot of groceries and a pretty long receipt...

And I have been sick all week, so I'm pretty proud of my trip. Not to mention it pays to make friends with the cashiers because they opened up a special lane just for me because I had so many items and so many coupons. The cashier went slow and even caught a small mistake I made. It was great and only $2.71 over our weekly grocery budget.
